Serving Lenexa, Kansas And Surrounding Areas
Hi there all you fellow animal lovers! My name is Kyra Grace, Owner of Lady Grace Pet Concierge. I have been working with animals since 2003 and have absolutely loved every second!
I started out managing a dog and cat daycare and boarding facility in Savannah, GA while attending school for Photography. Although I learn something new about these lovely creatures every single day, this is where I learned the majority of my dog knowledge. In 2005, I started my own pet sitting business, Miss Kyra’s Bed and Biscuit. I was lucky enough to have the ability to care for my doggy clients in my own home, offering daycare and boarding. In 2007, I moved to Las Vegas, NV and changed over to dog walking and pet sitting in my clients homes. While in Vegas, I first volunteered with Heaven Can Wait Sanctuary, then became their Dog Coordinator overseeing all aspects of the receiving and adoptions of dogs. I also worked with the female and juvenile inmates who cared for and trained the dogs while they awaited adoption. It was an unbelievable experience that I will cherish for all time.
In late 2017, I moved to Downtown Kansas City, MO. I was unsure if I would be staying in the area so I waited to start my business again. I couldn’t stay away from animals very long though so I started as an animal volunteer at the Kansas City Zoo at the first sign of openings in February 2018. Wow! There are no words for such an amazing experience! I had never lived close enough to a Zoo to volunteer so I was ecstatic for this opportunity. Otters are my favorite wild animal and I felt absolute pure joy the first time I got to feed the babies and their parents!! I worked with so many different animals in the Tropics and Australia/Asia sections of the Zoo. It was absolutely amazing!
My German Shepherd Abby did not take well to downtown living so we moved to Lenexa, KS in the summer of 2018. She was much happier with open spaces and parks galore. Although I was having a blast with the animals at the Zoo, In 2019, I couldn’t go without my doggy and kitty friends any longer and opened up Lady Grace Pet Concierge. The Zoo unfortunately did not bring back animal volunteers after the pandemic. A sad ending to a fun experience.

About our namesake Lady Grace. Lady was a beautiful Miniature Pinscher who turned a whopping 17 years old on May 1 2020. Lady became apart of the family at 12 weeks old only two days before I started working with dogs. She went to work with me every single day and had a blast playing with her friends! She has been loved by so many over the years. I am so happy to honor her and forever keep her with me as the namesake of Lady Grace Pet Concierge. Miss Lady crossed the rainbow bridge July 16, 2020. We miss her deeply.
Sadly, her sister Abby joined her suddenly and taken much too soon on January 12, 2022. Missing them, oh so much, every single day.
After a time of mourning we were ready to welcome some new fur babies into our home. Gus Gus and Jack were born on November 17, 2022. We were able bring them home when they were eight weeks old. We are having such a blast with our little meeps. They are Chinchillas. Some fun facts about chinchillas… They typically live 15-20 years. They have the softest fur of any mammal. They love apple sticks and shredded wheat as a treat. Originally from the Andes mountains, they are cold weather babies and don’t handle heat and humidity very well. Once they turned six months old we were able to build up their mansion. Gus Gus and Jack are having the time of their lives popcorning around their three story mansion! They also get daily playtime out with their hoomans and have such a blast in their very own play area.
